AASVANGEN, Roar - 58, Hubbards, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2005, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Norway, he was the son of Solveig (Folsheim) Aasvangen, Chester, and the late Ivar Aasvangen. Roar had 37 years in the insurance industry. He was an avid fisherman, ATV'er and motorcyclist, and he loved to spend time on Mill Lake. He was a wonderful husband and devoted father and a friend to all that knew him. Roar's love of life and his compassion for others will be missed. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Agnes (MacNeil); sons, Bill (Vicki), Halifax; Erik, Halifax. A visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 27, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., both will be held in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Jim Greene officiating.
