
| ARMITAGE, Frederick Cyril - 74, Halifax. If is with heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing on April 10, 2004, of this wonderful loving brother, father, grandfather, and above all best friend, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Amy and Ernest Armitage, He retired from B.I.O. in 1990 after 25 years of service. He had a great ability for making new and lasting friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Fred loved adventure, and had a great knowledge in his surroundings and was always eager to share that knowledge with others. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Royal Temple No. 6 and served as WOS master 1963/97/98/2000. Surviving are his son, Paul (Bonnie), Eddystone, Man.; daughters, Heather Josey, Toronto, Ont.; Leslie Ann Lafrose (Glen); granddaughters, Gina and Anne Marie Armitage and Magie Lafosse.; brother, Ernie (Corrine), Masons Point; sister, Dorothy Keddy, Ontario; his devoted loving companion, Shirley Delaney; extended family, Lee-Anne and Murray Newton; children, Brandon, Kaleigh, Tylor plus Fig Newton. He was predeceased by brothers, Jackie and Arthur; sisters, Beatrice (Dauphine). Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, April 17, in the Blue Room of Freeman's Hall, 1533 Barrington St. Committal service at a later date. Family flowers by request.
