ASHE, Uzena Margaret - 84, Upper Tantallon, passed away Friday, June 20, 2003, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Tantallon, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Jane (Boutilier) Chandler. Surviving are daughter, Trinda (Keith) Corney, Upper Tantallon; brothers, Clyde (Mary), Brantford, Ont.; Edgel (Sylvia), Fox Point Lake; sisters, Beatrice (William) Huether, Ontario; Marion Coolen, Hubbards; Meta (Fernand) Fernette, Porters Lake; Elma (James) Desbarres, Gay's River; grandson, Dana. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald A. Ashe; brothers, Wesley, Herbert; sisters, Muriel and Anna. Family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon, The Rev. A. Ashe officiating. Burial to follow in Black Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Canadian Cancer Society.
