AWALT, Cheryl Lynne- 49, of Bayswater, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at home. Born in Winnipeg, Man., she was a daughter of Russell (Deborah Anne) Croft, Falmouth and Phyllis Croft, Arinprior, Ont. Cheryl was an active member of the Blandford District Fire Department for 10 years as well as the Ladies Auxiliary, the All Saints Anglican Church Guild and Girl Guides of Canada. She was a volunteer at Blandford Elementary for lunches and the Library. She also volunteered at Shoreham Village where she spent time visiting with Margaret Corkum. Cheryl was a basketball coach for CAMS girls A&B teams and Forest Heights Senior Boys for five years as well as dance chaperone for both CAMS and Forest Heights. She was also a volunteer with the RCMP Auxiliary assisting with Domestic Violence and the Swiss Air 111 support. She is survived by her husband, Trevor; son, Jeffrey Lapean Douglas (Vicki Ann Moore); daughter, Keltie Lynne Cheryl; brother, Paul Wheadon; stepbrother, Rusty Croft. She was predeceased by maternal grandmother, Mavis Malcolm; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Carl Croft; stepgrandfather, John Malcolm. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, October 24th, from Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 25, from All Saints Anglican Church, Bayswater, Rev. Laura McCue and Rev. Daniel Green officiating. Burial to follow in All Saints Anglican Church Cemetery, Bayswater. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palliative Care, Victorian Order of Nurses, Cancer Clinic in Bridgewater and/or the Blandford Fire Department.
