BERRINGER, Allison Wakefield- 71, of Halifax,
passed away peacefully at home Thursday, September 17, 2009. Born in West
Dover, he was the son of the late Lewis and Rachael (Morash). He is survived
by his sons, Brent (Judy) and Allison Jr., both of Halifax; grandchildren,
Amanda, Windsor; Stephen Jr., British Columbia; brother, Byron, Whites Lake.
He is predeceased by his wife, Alma (Midgee); son, Stephen Sr., and two
great-grandchildren. Allison worked 40 years in the construction industry
for both Fancy Construction and MacLellan Construction. He was a
long-standing member of the Labours International Union of North America,
Local 615. Besides enjoying the company of family and friends, his favourite
hobby was watching his beloved Montreal Canadiens play hockey and watching
WWE. He also enjoyed his many trips to his favourite place for coffee with
friends at Robins (North Street). The family will receive visitors 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. Sunday, September 20, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549
Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday,
September 21 from St. James Anglican Church, West Dover. Rev. Anna Hoeg
officiating. Burial to follow in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, West
Dover. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer
Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or St. James Anglican
