BLACKBURN, Claire Marie - 58, Lakeside, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2005, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late William and Catherine (McCarron) Chisholm. Claire was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and an active member of the CWL. She was an avid bingo player and she enjoyed the simple things like traveling, visiting museums and just getting together with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Wayne; daughter, Karen Michelle (Trevor MacDonald), Tantallon; son, Gregory Wayne (Donna Little), Lakeside; sister, Karen (Kenny) Blackburn, Lakeside; brothers, Sandy (Beulah) Chisholm, Halifax; John (Debbie) Chisholm, Bear River; grandchildren, Adam and Emily MacDonald; sister-in-law, Beverly Chisholm, Antigonish; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, William Wayne. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church, Lakeside, Rev. James Richards officiating, assisted by Rev. Duncan McMaster.
