BOND, Gerald Herman - 69, Head of St. Margaret's Bay, passed away August 5, 2004, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Quaker Island, Chester, he was a son of the late Howard and Ethel (Zinck) Bond. Gerald was retired with 35 years from Point Pleasant Park, Halifax, where he enjoyed many years of outdoor work. He was a member of the St. Margaret's Bay C.B. Radio Club and the South Shore Blue Grass Club and he was an avid camper. He is survived by his companion, Marilyn MacArthur; daughters, Shelley (Randy) Johnston, Upper Tantallon; Gail (Kirk) Atwood, Sackville; Angela (Troy Mackenzie) Bond, Upper Tantallon; son, James (Sonya), Halifax; sister, Pauline (James) Campbell, Cape Breton; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mabel Boutilier; brothers, Laurie, Earl, Virgil; sisters, Kathleen and Shirley. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. George's Anglican Church, St. Margaret's Bay, Rev. Richard Walsh officiating.
