BREMNER, William Angus - 86, Hackett's Cove, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2002, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Angus and Bessie (Bremner) Bremner. William was the last surviving member of his immediate family; he also enjoyed listening to country music. He retired in 1980 from Sears Automotive on Chebucto Road with 26 years of service. Surviving are his daughters, Heather (Perry) Shatford, Marlene (Austin) Way, both of Hackett's Cove; grandchildren, Billy (Lisa) Way, Brookside; Alexander and Jordan Shatford, both of Hackett's Cove. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Lila Jean (Boutilier); brother, Cyril Bremner; sisters, Daisy Crowell, Florence Seymour, Edna Bremner, Annie Wambolt, Vera Fillmore. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, in St. Peter's Anglican Church, Hackett's Cove. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon.
