BUSH, Norma
Marguerite - 84, of Tantallon. It is with great sadness that the family
announces the passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great
grandmother on Thursday April 29, 2010 in the QEII Health Sciences Center,
Halifax. Norma passed peacefully with her loving husband by her side, and
surrounded by her family. Born in LaHave, she was the daughter of the late
Angus and Jessie (Pentz) Ernst. As a young lady, Norma enjoyed playing
piano, skating, swimming, dancing and riding her bike to work. During WWII,
before Norma and Naaman started their family, Norma took great joy in making
overalls and jumpers at J.F. Creaser Factory, LaHave. Her love of music was
shared with others as she was the organist at her beloved St. Luke's United
Church in Tantallon for many years. After that, she and Naaman sang for
several years in the St. Luke's choir. Norma loved participating in family
outings and celebrations as well as enjoying their community friends in
various clubs, such as the White Caps, 50 Plus and Carpet Bowling at the
church. Norma is survived by her husband Naaman; son, Carman, Edmonton;
daughters, Jeanette (Frank) Stone and Cheryl (Dennis) O'Rourke, both of
Stillwater Lake; grandchildren, Bonnie, Jennifer and Erin; great
grandchildren, Brett and Keely. Predeceased by her brother, Brenton; sister,
Marion; daughter-in-law, Patsy. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9
p.m. Monday May 3 in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove
Road, Tantallon. Funeral service 2 pm Tuesday May 4 at St. Luke's United
Church, Upper Tantallon. Reverend Kevin Little officiating. Burial to follow
