
| BOUTILIER, Wilson Lorne - 57, Glen Margaret, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2001, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Roy and Lottie (McLennan) Boutilier. He was a school bus driver for the Halifax County Regional School Board for over 20 years, servicing Sir John A. MacDonald High School and its feeder schools. Wilson was an avid ballplayer, hockey player and coach. He competed in the Hubbards District Fast Ball League from 1959-1969, winning seven consecutive league championships with the Boutilier's Point team. From 1972-1976, he played with the Dartmouth Dairy Queen Senior A team, attending five national competitions, before turning his hand to coaching. In 1982, he formed and coached the St. Margaret's Bay Bears, a local bantam team, which he enjoyed immensely. His most recent involvement was coaching in the St. Margaret's Bay Gentlemen's Hockey League, with his team "the Falcons" winning three consecutive championships. Surviving are his wife, Lynn M. (Henry); son, Craig, Halifax; daughter, Cindy, Seabright; granddaughter, Abby; brother, Lester (Gloria), Hackett's Cove; sisters, Marion (Albert) Johnson, Indian Harbour; Freda Bastian, Seabright; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Roland. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today and 3-5 p.m. Friday in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon. Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Church, Lakeside. Burial to follow in St. Margaret of Scotland Cemetery, Glen Margaret. Reception to follow in Seabright Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Timberlea Amateur Sports Association (TASA). Wilson was deeply loved by his wife and will be forever missed. |
