CAMPBELL, John Brown II - 94, Peggyís Cove and Windsor, passed away Monday, June 2, 2008, in Arborstone Enhanced Care, Halifax. Born in Clarksville he was a son of the late Frederick and Henrietta (Wilson) Campbell. John moved to Windsor at a young age and attended school in Clarksville, Windsor and Acadia University, Wolfville. He was involved most of his life in the family business, J.B. Campell and Sons, Curryís Corner. He also served as the postmaster at Curryís Corner for many years. He was an elder at St. Johns United Church, served on the Windsor Town Council and served as a volunteer fire fighter, and was a member of the Welsford Masonic Lodge, Windsor. John moved to Peggyís Cove on retirement but maintained his ties to Windsor . He attended St. Johnís Anglican Church in Peggyís Cove. He is survived by his sons, Jack (Judy), Peggyís Cove; Gary, Dartmouth; Robert (Susan), Windsor; daughters, Beverley Oulton, Halifax; Janice (Terry) Woollam, St. Margaretís Bay; sisters, Lillian MacMillian, Halifax; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret (Earl) Curry, Shubenacadie. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie (Curry); sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Frank Archibald); Ethel, Ella (Mrs. Percy Kennedy); Ruth; brother, Norman (Greta); brother-in-law, Dr. Duncan MacMillan; granddaughter, Elizabeth, and son-in-law, Keith Oulton. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, in St. Johnís Anglican Church, Peggyís Cove, Rev. Irving Letto officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Maple Wood Cemetery, Windsor.
