CLEVELAND, Keith Melford- 79, of Indian Harbour, passed away Wednesday October 7, 2009, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Indian Harbour, he was the son of the late Donald and Gertrude (Hurshman) Cleveland. Keith fished in his younger years, worked in construction, drove a delivery truck delivering meat and retired from the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation after 15 years. He enjoyed his recent years in Indian Harbour overlooking the water and the activity on St. Margaret's Bay. He enjoyed going out for his meals, his ice cream cones and his evening trips to Tim Hortons with his good friend Reg Fralick. He will be sadly missed. Survived by his brother, Harold Cleveland; sisters, Effie Fiander and Annie Smith; number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Laura (Pryor) Cleveland; brothers, Raymond and Ronald; sisters, Dora, Gladys and Hilda. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, October 10. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 11, both from Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Rev. Sandra Cox officiating.
