COLE, Gregory Andrew - 57, Gold River, passed away April 9, 2005, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, after a lengthy illness. Born in Queensland on December 24, 1947, he was the son of Dr. Philip Cole, Hubbards and Mary Cole, Chester. He was an avid hunter and sports fisherman and loved gardening. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former Carolyn Floyd; son, Brad, Chester; daughter, Thaila (Troy McDow), Chester Basin; grandson, Javin McDow; sister, Sheila Hamblen, Hammonds Plains; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the SPCA in Lunenburg County. It is with heartfelt thanks the family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at both the South Shore Regional Hospital and the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, for their care and compassion while Greg was a patient.
