COOLEN, Cecil Alexander - 97, Wentworth Road, Windsor, formerly of Fox Point, passed away Monday, June 5, 2006, in Windsor Elms, Windsor. Born in Fox Point, he was a son of the late Salem and Bessie (Boutilier) Coolen. Cecil was a bible student for many years and a lifelong member of Fox Point Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Besides being a fisherman, he was a fur merchant for a number of years. He enjoyed music and played several musical instruments. He is survived by his wife, Madeline (Hunter-McClaire); stepsons, Les (Iris) McClaire, Madoc, Ont.; Alan McClaire, Rawdon; Bob McClaire, Windsor Junction; Ken McClaire, Bedford; Ron (Cindy) McClaire, Mosherville; Jim (Blanche) McClaire, Red Deer, Alta.; stepdaughters, Carol (Angus) Harvey, Wentworth Road, Windsor; Marie (Gordon) Pifher, Mission, B.C.; Doreen (Ron) Davitt, Amesbury, Mass.; Lorraine McClaire, Kentville; Ruth (Mike) Phillips, Oshawa, Ont.; Sue (Jim) Schneider, McBride, B.C.; stepdaughter-in-law, Jane McClaire, Fox Point; 29 stepgrandchildren; 27 step great-grandchildren; two step great great-grandchildren; stepsister, Ella Blakeney, Fox Point; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Rita Marie Oldfield; daughter, Carol Ann; stepdaughter, Arline McClaire; stepson, Ray McClaire; stepdaughter-in-law, Shirley McClaire; brothers, Frederick, Robbie, Freeman, Salem, Roland, Norman, and Murray; sisters, Lila Young, Minnie Stevens, Frances Zinck. Visitation will be held today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral Service 2 p.m. Friday in Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Fox Point, Pastor Roy Uffindell officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery, Fox Point.
