COOLEN, David Bruce "Shaft"-Hubbards, passed Friday, March 27, 2009, at home. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Frances (Dauphinee) Coolen, Fox Point and the late Burton Coolen. David loved the outdoors; he enjoyed camping, fishing and was a carpenter by trade. The sparkle in his eye was his children and grandchildren. Survived by his children, Tracy, Anna, David (Kelly), Jackie and Ben; grandchildren, Paige, Raidyn and David J.; sisters, Lorraine (Svein) Stokkeskog, Tantallon; Doreen (Gary) Christie, Head of St. Margaret's Bay; brother, Donald (Linda), Halifax; companion, Debbie. He will be missed by his favourite cat "Shelby". The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday March 29, funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, March 30, both from Ronald A.
