COOLEN (Farmer), Jean Lillian ó 76, of Fox Point. Sadly Jean's family announce the passing of a loving mother, grandmother and sister in South Shore Regional Hospital on Thursday June 25, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Halifax she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Beatrice (Mitchell) Farmer. Jean was an avid fan of her son, daughter's and grandchildren's sporting events and was always be on the sidelines with encouragement. She was known throughout her community as a terrific cook and will be remembered fondly by many. Survived by son, Brian (Clarissa), Fox Point; daughters, Darlene "Cookie" (Edward) Young, Fox Point; Heather (Chris) Harnish, Mill Cove; sister, Edna (John) Bowser, Halifax; grandchildren, Tiffany, Corey, Courtney, Ryan, Shauna, Matthew and Tamara; great-grandchildren, Avery, McKenna, Liam; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Gerald; brother, Earl; sister, Carol. The family will receive visitors 6-9 p.m. Sunday, June 28, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 29, in Seventh Day Adventist Church, Fox Point, Pastor David Crook officiating.
