CORKUM, Alfred Willis - 87, Simms Settlement, passed away Monday, September 29, 2003, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in East Chester, he was the son of the late George Willis and Eva (Moland) Corkum. Alfred worked as a carpenter and was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas in the army. He is survived by his wife, the former Aartje VanDeKamp; daughter, Eva (Ray) LePage, Mill Cove; grandchildren, Michelle, Baddeck; Marc and James, both of Mill Cove; great-grandchild, Laurel, Baddeck. He was predeceased by sisters, Lillian Trefry, Beatrice Whynot and Gladys Walker. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards.
