Of Head of St. Margaret’s Bay, (1932 -2012) passed away Monday February 20, 2012 at Melville Lodge Nursing Home, Halifax. Audrey was the daughter of the late Francis and Grace (Lobb) Shreenan. Born in Saint John, N.B. and came to the Head of St. Margaret’s Bay. N.S. with her parents in 1951.  She is survived by her husband, William and daughter, Susan at home; son Gordon (Deborah), New Haven, PEI; grandchildren, Courtney and Rhyan Seaboyer; great granddaughters, Faith and Breanna-Grace; sister,  Laverene, California, USA.  Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son, Grant.  Audrey was very involved in her church serving as on occasions as Sunday school teacher, choir member, Altar guild, envelope secretary, synod delegate, lay reader and was at one period a board member of the A.C.W. at the Diocesan Center in Halifax, N.S. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 40 and was a Past Matron in 1959, 1985 and 2003 and a member of the St. Margaret’s Bay White Caps and treasurer for St. Georges A.C.W.  Audrey also worked at Halifax Insurance from 1951 to 1060 and part time at Schofields Insurance from 1984 to 2001.  The family gives many thanks for the kindness and care of Janet Fralick and the Victoria Order of Nurses received by Audrey and last but not least the excellent care she received in Melville Loge, Nursing Home.  Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday February 22nd in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggys Cove Road, Tantallon. Funeral Service to be held 11 am Thursday February 23nd in St. Georges, Anglican Church, Head of St. Margaret’s Bay. Rev.  Paul Findlay officiating. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Georges Anglican Church or the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
