91, of Fox Point passed away peacefully with her family
by her side Monday January 31, 2011 in Melville
Lodge, Halifax. Born in Queensland she was the
daughter of the late Stanford and Rennie (Whynaught) Dauphinee. Family and
grandchildren were her love of her life. She also enjoyed her life doing for
others; bingo and playing OKO with her friends. She was known for her lemon
pies and bread. She was a very kind and generous person. She belonged to the
Hubbards Fireman Auxillary for many years. She was a strong supporter for
all community events. Survived by her son, Donald (Linda), Halifax;
daughters, Lorraine (Svein) Stokkeskog, Tantallon; Doreen (Gary) Christie,
Head of St. Margaret’s Bay; grandchildren, Hans, Tina, Sherry, Kim, Shannon,
Kari, Anna, Tracy, Jackie, David and Ben; nine great grandchildren; sister, Gertie Stevens. Predeceased by her husband Burton; son, David; sister,
Sadie; Annie; brother, Clifford; Gladys and Ivan in Infancy. Visitation will
be held 2-4 and 7-9pm Friday February 4th; funeral service 11 am Saturday
February 5th both in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Rev.
Laurie Omstead officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to
