DAUPHINEE, Sgt. Rodger Carmen (CD2 Ret'd)- 1948 - 2009, of Hubbards/Florida, passed away July 1, 2009, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. He was a son of the late Carl and Margaret Dauphinee. Rodger served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 38 years, joining at the tender age of 17 and retiring in 2003. Rodger was well-known for his love of cars, over the years he purchased, restored and sold too many to count. He is survived by his wife/friend, Shelia (King) of 14 years; daughter, Andrea and much loved granddaughter, Sadie, Prince Edward Island; sister, Marlene Terry, Dartmouth; brothers, Lloyd (Bettyanne), Dartmouth; Wayne (Allana) and Wilfred (Mary), both of Hubbards; in-laws, John W. and Ethel King, Newfoundland & Labrador, and sister-in-law, Waniece (Les) Underwood, England and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, July 4, in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards, Rev. Laurie Omstead officiating. Family flowers only.
