DONALDSON, Mae Edith - 94, Halifax, passed away March 30, 2003, in Northwood Centre, a former resident of Dr. Samuel Prince Manor, Halifax, for the last 28 years. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Edith F. (Gardiner) Anderson. She was a survivor of The Halifax Explosion. She is survived by her son, Brian D., Dartmouth; daughters, Janet M., Dartmouth; Barbara (Ronald) Lawrence, Upper Musquodoboit; sisters, Doris Leghorn, London, Ont.; Mary Weaver, Charlottetown, P.E.I.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas; son, Cyril; daughter, Joan; brothers, William, Percy, Fred, Gordon, and Bernard; sister, Gertrude. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 6032 Normandy Dr., Halifax, Rev. Gilbert Bertrand O.M.I. officiating. Burial to follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
