
| EVANS, Reginald S. - 77, 6969 Bayer's Rd., Halifax, passed away September 3, 2002, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late John C. and Christina (Gallager) Evans. Reginald was a custodian for the Halifax School Boards with St. Catherine's School, retiring with 22 years of service. He served overseas in the Second World War, artillery, serving in Holland, Germany, France, Belgium and England. July 4, 2002, Reginald received the Good Will Medal from the Dutch Government which was presented to him at his home by the Royal Canadian Legion. Surviving are his wife, the former Jean Keefe; sons, John (Kathy), Halifax; Clifford (Pamela), Brampton, Ont.; Peter (Liana), Halifax; brothers, John, Halifax; Clyde, Halifax; sisters, Mary (David Smith), Ottawa; Shirley Christmas, London, Ont.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother, Clarence; sister, Margaret Coyle. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon. Funeral 10 a.m. Friday in St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Owen Connolly officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
