FLOYD, D. Brian - 61, Chester, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2006, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Toronto, Ont., he was the son of the late Jack and Catherine (Hancock) Floyd. Brian was a graduate of NSCAD in fine arts and education. He had a diverse career as an art teacher, international fisheries observer, and as an interior designer/decorator. He will be remembered for his generosity, intellect, quick wit, and for living life to the fullest with many good friends. Brian is survived by sisters, Maureen (Albert) Martinez, Denver, Colo.; Deirdre (John Skuggedal), Halifax, and nephew, Jason Colville, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, in St. James Anglican Church, Boutilier's Point, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Following the committal, everyone is welcome to join the family at 395 Viewmount Dr., Allen Heights, Head of St. Margaret's Bay, for fellowship and refreshments. Services are under the care and direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Homes.
