
| FOSTER, Florence Edith - 85, Glen Haven, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008, in Melville Lodge, Halifax. Born in Perrotte, Annapolis Co., she was a daughter of the late Frederick Andrew and Josephine Gladys (Ramsey) Todd. Florence was known by her family and neighbours as an outstanding cook and baker. She was an avid knitter and spent many hours in her garden. She was a member of the Author Association and also a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Seabright Legion, Branch 116. The last few years she was affectionately known by the staff at Melville Lodge as "Saucy Flossie". Survived by her sons, Andrew (Linda) and Murray (Kate), both of Vancouver, B.C.; Rodney (Donna), Sims Settlement; Tod (Cherry), Halifax; Gary, Stephen and Phillip (Bernice) all of Glen Haven; daughter, Pamela (Lorne), New Glasgow; son-in-law, Ian Cross, Moose River; sisters, Viola Mann, Halifax; Ramona (Shannon) Clayton, Parker's Cove; brother-in-law, Robert (Shirley), Stewiacke; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; brother, Howard; sisters, Gertrude, Olive, and Irene. The family will receive visitors 4-7 p.m. Friday, August 8, funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, August 9, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon.
