FREDERICKS, Forrest Walter - 84, of Hammonds Plains, passed away Friday, January 15, 2010, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Head of St. Margaret's Bay, he was the son of the late Walter and Olive (Boutilier) Fredericks. Forrest was employed with the City of Halifax working in the Public Gardens before starting his own landscaping business in the Halifax area. After retiring he worked transporting special needs children and started a used car lot. He was an avid sport fisherman, hunter and enjoyed spending many hours in the garden. Survived by his sons, Forrest Jr. "Walter" (Anna) and James "Jim" (Claudette), both of Spryfield; daughters, Susan (Mrs. George Clarke), Hammonds Plains; Nancy (Mrs. Garth Hartt), Falmouth; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, Roberta; son, Theodore "Ted". The family will receive visitors 4-7 p.m. Sunday, January 17th. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 19th in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Road, Tantallon. A family committal will held at a later date in St. George's Anglican Church, Cemetery.
