GAILEY, Hugh Joseph "Sonny" - Seabright. It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Hugh, 81, beloved husband of Sarah Frances (Wade) for 58 years, on Saturday, November 11, 2006, in Halifax. Hugh will be greatly missed by Fran and his cherished daughters, Gillian Gailey (Richard Snell), Janet Malloch (Mal), Beverley Gailey-Roach (Tony Roach), Lorraine Gailey and Michelle Gailey; his grandchildren, Gregory, Nicholas and Stephen Foster, Fletcher and Kiri Gailey-Snell, Carly, Campbell and H. Jesse Malloch, and stepgranddaughters, Meagan Robichaud and Jillian Roach. Hugh is also survived by his dear sister, Virginia (Dinny) Fisher and her treasured family, Michael (Lucille), Leslie (Stuart Allan), Mark (Patti) and Clare (Shawn McLean) and their children; his wonderful great-nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by Marjorie Fisher and all the Wade relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, Hugh and Clara (Thornton) Gailey; brother-in-law, Gordon Fisher, and grandson Julian Foster. Hugh will be remembered for his reverence towards family and his extreme talent for anything he tried, especially his musical ability. His warm and generous hospitality was the basis for many enjoyable family gatherings and Hugh could always put a smile on your face with his tremendous sense of humour. He cherished the friendships developed from his expertise in gardening, woodworking and boat building. In his younger years, Hugh was an Akala for the Cubs, and later, guitar teacher extraordinaire to many Arvida teenagers. In Ottawa, he was first a motorcycle enthusiast and then learned how to fly his own Piper Cub, the "Gay Lady". On moving to Nova Scotia, Hugh traded his wings and took to the water, ultimately building "Picnique", his pride and joy in retirement. Following cremation, visitation will take place in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday November 14. A memorial service will be held in All Saints Church in Marysville (Fredericton), N.B., on Friday, November 17, with burial to follow in Penniac. On-line Condolences may be sent to: www.rawalker.ca.  In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to Aphasia Centre of Ottawa, 153 Chapel St., Ottawa, ON K1N 1H5.
