GATES, Margaret Elizabeth - 59, Blandford. In loving memory of a dear wife, daughter, mother and grandmother, Margaret, who passed away suddenly Saturday, May 12, 2007, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Reigate, England, she was the daughter of Ada (Mills) Langley, Blandford, and the late George Langley. Margaret lived in Blandford for 37 years. She enjoyed working with her crafts and was an avid quilter. She loved her family and precious grandchildren. She enjoyed animals especially her cats, Bandit and Abbey. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener. She spent many weekends finding yard sales (her passion) and enjoyed playing her video games. She was a dedicated member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Blandford Fire Department for 25 years, as well as being the librarian of the Time Square Quilters for 8 years. Her loving kindness and generous heart made her the anchor of our family. Her loss will be deeply felt by many. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Roy; son, Devin, Blandford; daughters, Hollie Mazerall, Beaver Bank; Shauna Murphy, Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Geoffrey, Emma, and Alisha; sister, Carol Reid, Cambridge, Ont. She was predeceased by her brother, James Langley, sister, Catherine Hodgson; grandson, Jeremiah Murphy. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Blandford, Rev. Laura McCue officiating. Burial to follow in Church cemetery.
