GREENE, Wallace Hugh - 89, Halifax, died June 15, 2007, in Northwood Centre, Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Charles Booth and Annie Agnes (Welsh) Greene. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving on Corvettes in the Royal Canadian Navy. Surviving are sons, James (Linda), Bedford; Murray (Anne), Amherst; Richard (Sharon), Chester; stepson, Ivan Ross, California; sister, Ethel, Halifax; grandchildren, Chris, Brian, Kelly, Kirsten, Erin and Amy; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Johanna, Ian and Matthew. He was predeceased by his first wife, Edith, and second wife, Marjorie; daughters, Juanita and Annie; brothers, Charles and John. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, at 11 a.m. in Bayview Cemetery, Chester, Rev. Leonard Bednar officiating. A reception will follow at the home of Richard and Sharon Greene, 65 Millennium Dr., Chandler's Cove, Chester. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Chester.
