HAMLIN, Marion Jane - Passed away October 23, 2002, after a short illness. She was born in Mill Cove on September 23, 1922 and spent most of her life in this south shore community. She is best remembered for her extraordinary garden and sumptuous meals prepared for family and friends. She was most proud of her children, Linda, Dale and Ann, and made great memories for her grandchildren on their many visits. Marion and her late husband, Earl, were long-standing members of the IOOF and shared many wonderful memories with its members. Marion is survived by her brother, Frank; sisters, Marie Carter, Joanne Eldershaw; her children, Linda, Dale and Ann as well as grandchildren, Laurie, Jimmy, Jonathan, Lindsey, Dana, Megan and Casey. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff and residents of Shoreham Village where Mom has resided the past four years, and to the caring medical staff and nurses of South Shore Regional Hospital who have made Mom's last few days more comfortable. The family will receive visitors 2-5 p.m. Saturday, October 26, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards.
