
| HARNISH, Gertie Helena - 91, Hubbards, passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, on Monday, May 21, 2007. Born in Blandford on October 4, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Eva and Harris Publicover. Gertie lived in Hubbards for 69 years and worked for many years at the Hubbards Variety Store and the Shore Club. She was a beloved "Nanny" to her family and enjoyed their daily visits. Special thanks to the nurses at SSRR for their compassion and special care. She is survived by her grandchildren, Beth (Dennis) Langille, Kentville; Ian Parker, Hubbards, and Reese (Janet) Parker, Hubbards; great-grandchildren, April, Lindsey, Ben and Keith Parker, and Leanne Langille; sister, Iris Mosher; brothers, Lee (Eleanor) and Walter (Geraldine); sister-in-law, Phyllis, all of Blandford; many nieces and nephews and special friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Harnish, and her only daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ronald Parker (1964); sisters, Della and Ermine; brothers, Ralph, Harold, Michael and Allen. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 24, in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards, Rev. Greene officiating. Burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Hubbards. Family flowers only by request.
