
| HILLS, Ada May - 93, Halifax, formerly of Tantallon, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008, in St. Vincent's Nursing Home, Halifax. Born in Hackett's Cove, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Bertha (Trueman) Smith. Ada was an active member of her community; canvassed for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and a faithful lifelong member of St. Margaret's Anglican Church Tantallon. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and traveling with the White Cap Seniors. She is survived by sons, Brecken (Linda), Upper Tantallon; Donald (Charlotte McInnis), Head of St. Margaret's Bay; Albert (Ginny), Bruderheim, Alta.; daughters, Bertha (Ken) Slaunwhite, Terence Bay; Joan Perry, Tantallon; brothers, Cyril (Gloria) Smith, Daniel (Ruth) Smith, both of Tantallon; sisters, Marjorie (Rae) Calnen, Hammonds Plains; Evelyn Rafuse, Eldon, P.E.I.; Thelma White, St. Albert, Alta.; Lena Demers, St. Hubert, Que.; grandchildren, Debbie, Laura, Linda, Nancy, Tammy, Charles, Laura, Darlene, Jamie, Natalie, Jason, Tannis, Kenneth, David, Kelley; 21 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband, Roland S.; brothers, Delmore, Garvie, Roy, Maynard, and grandson, Donald Jr. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, June 27th in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service will held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, in St. Margaret's Anglican Church, Tantallon, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Margaret's Anglican Church, Tantallon, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
