HOBEN, Harvey - 60, Hubbards, formerly of Hamilton, Ont., passed away after a courageous battle with brain cancer September 23, 2004, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends. Born in Frenchmans Cove, NL, he was the son of Elsie (Myles) Hoben and the late Frank Hoben. Surviving are his wife, the former Shirley D. Rhyno; son, Frank (Carrie), Caledonia, Ont.; daughter, Dianna (Martin) vonGemmingen, Brampton, Ont.; brother, Lloyd, Port Franks, Ont.; sisters, Margaret Hinchliffe, Edmonton, Alta.; Ledona Digout, Bedford; grandchildren, Victoria, Max, Noah and Ben. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards, Rev.
