HUBLEY, Donald George - 79, Glen Haven, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008, in Glades Lodge, Halifax. Born in Glen Haven, he was the son of the late George and Grace (Boutilier) Hubley. Donald was stricken with polio at the age of 14, leaving him physically disabled but not limited to lobster fishing in the bay or planting a large vegetable garden. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and bowling with the White Caps Seniors Club. He was an avid musician, playing the violin at many of our community events. He was also a member of the 50+ Club. Surviving are sister, Rhoda¼ (Granville) Langille, Glen Haven; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Harold, Winfield and Malcolm; sister, Marion. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, and funeral service Thursday at 11 a.m., both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd. (Highway 333), Tantallon, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church, French Village.
