HUBLEY, Marie Amanda - 75, Seabright, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Seabright, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Dempsey) Deal. Marie was well-known for her quick wit and great sense of humour. She kept a scrapbook and made journal entries daily of all events of everyday life. She loved outings with her family, as well as tea time with friends and neighbours. She looked forward to daily telephone calls with her friends, Jean and Florence. She is survived by son, Paul, Halifax; daughter, Diane (Barry) Whiting, Seabright; brother, John, Seabright; sisters, Geraldine "Dolly" and Eileen Sheppard, both of Halifax; grandchildren, Sandra Whiting, Seabright; Barry Jr. (Alicia) Whiting, Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband, Winfred. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Margaret's of Scotland Church, Glen Margaret, Father Jim Richards officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
