| HUBLEY, Wallace Anthony
Frederick - 71, Seabright, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2006, in
the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Seabright, he was a son of Lester
Hubley, Eastern Passage, and the late Geraldine (MacDonald) Hubley. He was
predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Florena, and his brother, Lorne.
Wallace was an electrician by trade and worked many years as a driver with
Jack Berggren. He worked many years on the Halifax Waterfront as a freight
handler at the Halifax Shipyards. Wallace was a treasured friend to all who
knew him. He was a great enthusiast of local folklore and history generally,
a great spinner of yarns, teller of tales and we won't forget his love for
his six string Gibson and the music of Hank Snow. He is sorely missed by his
two sons who loved him dearly and his family. We are comforted to know that
Wallace is now with his beloved wife, Florena in Heaven. She is survived by
his sons, Mark (Sheila), Lower Sackville; Kevin (Julie), British Columbia;
grandchildren, Adam, Emily and Dale; brothers, Robert (Jeannie), Seabright;
Charles, Seabright; David (Janet), Milford; sisters, Joan (Bruce) Ralston,
Ontario, and Betty Ann Day, British Columbia. It is Wallace's wishes to have
a private family service which will be held at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, donations can be made to Seabright United Baptist Church, Seabright.
