
| HUDSON, John Lewis - 69, Timberlea, passed away suddenly on June 10, 2007, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Country Harbour on August 19, 1937, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mamie Hudson, and although he moved away to pursue his life's work, in his heart Country Harbour was always home. John worked at several different vocations, with his favourite being long distance truck driving, he welcomed the call of the open road and enjoyed the opportunity to see new places and meet new people. He will be remembered for his generous nature and his love of music, his loyalty to his family and his many friends, and his devotion to his dogs. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Connie (Atwell); daughters, Heather (Brian) Travis and grandsons Mitchell and Blake; Shelley Hudson; son, Garth and grandson Colten; sisters, Alice Field (Roy), Charlotte Sangster (Denton); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Charlotte Louise Hudson. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, in St. Andrews Anglican Church, Timberlea, Rev. Michael Conrad officiating. A second service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 14, in Holy Trinity Church, Country Harbour, Rev. Dawn Dickieson officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
