JANES, George "Martin" - 45, Tantallon. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, son, brother and friend on May 4, 2010, in Tantallon. Born in Halifax, he was the son of George and Alice (Seaward) Janes,Tantallon. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sandra (Clements); children, Brenden, Gillian and Mitchell, at home; sisters, Cindy, Daphne (Paul) Shea; brother, David (Valerie), all of Tantallon; father-in-law, Albert, Sydney; brothers-in-law, Albert, New Glasgow; Todd, Sydney, and special nieces and nephews. Martin took a simple approach to life in the way he valued family, friends, business associates and his time in the outdoors whether fishing, hunting, walking and special family camping time in Kejimkujik National Park. Martin was actively involved in his community supporting all charities and in particular the Indian Harbour Terry Fox Drive. He was a respected local business man and entrepreneur. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday May 7 and funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8 both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Rev.
