KEEPING, John Randall-  94, Lewis Lake, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 28, 2010, in Melville Lodge Nursing Home. Born in Rameau, NL., he was a son of the late Martin and Agnes (Walters) Keeping. He was employed on the Halifax waterfront for most of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Violet (Foote); son, Martin (Linda); daughters, Florence (David Hilchey), Marilyn Greenham, Carol (Wayne) Nash, Roberta (Max Edwards), Susan (Robert Martin), all of Halifax. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Quinn, Shirley Hatch/Bussard; brothers, Myril (Joyce) and Gordon (Jean) Keeping, and many nieces and nephews. Randall was predeceased by his brothers, Norman and Louis; sisters, Francis, Ruby, Rita, and Annie. Cremation has taken place. Interment at a later date. No service by request.
