KIELE, Dirk - 81, St. Margaret's Bay, passed away on March 10, 2008, in QEII Heath Sciences Centre, Halifax, with his loving wife by his side. Born in Den Haag, The Netherlands, he was the son of the late Arie and Cornelius (Fransen) Kiele. Dirk was a dental surgeon in Noordwijkerhout, The Netherlands, for over 25 years, retiring to Canada. Dirk worked very hard to strive for a better life. He lived life to the fullest and always said "there's no better life and a good life." Much time was devoted to world travel and his companionship from his little dog "Teddy". Dirk has left a great impression on our hearts; he will be sadly missed but forever remembered. Dirk is survived by his wife, Audrey (Hannevold) Kiele; son, Maarten-Jon, The Netherlands; stepdaughter, Andrea Whitter, St. Margaret's Bay, and stepson, Dean (Chanika Fernando) Whitter, Windsor, Ont. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Rev. Dan Green officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flower, donations in Dirk's memory may be made to The Children Wish Foundation of Canada or SPCA.
