KITLEY, Richard Harry - 53, Glen Haven, passed away suddenly at home on February 10, 2002. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Ronald Harry and Joan (Chaldecott) Kitley. Rick was a long-time physical education teacher (presently at Halifax West High School). His love for his profession was only outdone by his passion for the sport of soccer. Rick loved the ocean, sunshine, long walks with his pups and attempted to fill the need for laughter in everyone's lives. Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Mary (Nielsen) and their daughters, Erin, Halifax; Gillian and Jodi, both at home; stepsister, Wendy Kennedy; nephew, David Kennedy; nieces, Julie Kennedy, Joanne Freeman, Jennifer Jarman. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon. Memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Cathedral Church of All Saints, College Street, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. Family internment service will take place Thursday in William Black Memorial Cemetery, Glen Margaret.
