It is with extreme sadness that the world has lost one of its most precious, Mark (Marky) Daniel Lynds, age 20 of Hammonds Plains who passed away suddenly, but peacefully, in his sleep on Wednesday, May 4, 2011.  Born in Halifax, he was survived by his parents, James "Jamie" and Elizabeth (Potter) Lynds, brother, Benjamin (Amber Fryday), Dartmouth; sister, Alexandra at home; Paternal grandparents, Gerry Lynds, Amherst and Marilyn (Darrell Guest), Lower Sackville. Predeceased by his maternal grand parents, Henry and Jean Potter of Amherst. Mark was a graduate of C.P. Allen High.  He was an avid basketball and tennis player. He had been a member of Tennis Nova Scotia and St. Margaret's Bay (SLAM) basketball association. He had been currently employed with Quiznos, Tantallon.  Mark loved his family and friends and always knew how to put a smile on their faces. In his short life, he touched many with his great sense of humor and positive outlook on life. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2011 at St. Luke's United Church,5374 St. Margaret’s Bay Road, Upper Tantallon, NS. Rev. Kevin Little, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or organization of choice.
