MACAULAY (Misner), Rose Marie - Meisners Point Road, Ingramport, passed away Friday, January 11, 2008, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Rose lived all her life on Meisners Point Road. She was a granddaughter of the late Maynard and Victoria May Misner; daughter of the late Lorne Misner and the late Ruth (Fleet) Misner Reeves; stepdaughter of the late Clifford Reeves. Surviving are her loving husband, Ronald Macaulay, her best friend and loving partner for 37 years. Rose, Ronnie and Fancy were always together. She is also survived by daughter, Darlene (Christopher) Boutilier, Tantallon; beautiful loving grandchildren, Ashley Baker Morash, Alysia Morash, and chosen grandson, Julian Pearson; brother, Keith Misner, Black Point; cousin, Errol Meisner, who she loved like a brother; adopted sister, Wanita (Roberto) Sani and baby Eric, Alberta; many sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends; favorite aunts, Madeline (Sandy) Boutilier, Frances (Marshall) Bush, Bush Island, LaHave; childhood and dearly loved friend, Edwin Manuel, Whitehorse; Rose's great friend, George Backman, who always helped her out and took the time to talk to her and give her hope and got Rose things she wanted. Rose worked many years as a master hairdresser. More than anything in her life, she loved babies and children. Looking after children was her calling in life. The first child she baby-sat was her loving godson, David Coolen Jr. Rose was an animal and nature lover, she had dogs, rabbits and cages of birds. She was a bird watcher. Rose will be missed by her baby dog Shih Tzu, Fancy. Fancy went everywhere with Ronnie and Rose. Fancy was always by her side. Rose's hobbies were cooking, baking and decorating, tole painting, reading, and gardening, she had beautiful flower gardens, and loved Elvis music, old country music, and wooden ships. Rose loved her time with her grandchildren and enjoyed movies with the girls, talking on the phone, family get- togethers at her daughter's, her good home cooking fun, breakfast at the Outback, and Sundays with Ronnie, friends and neighbours. Rose loved all her friends and neighbours on Meisners Point Road. She had great friends; Robyn, Audrey, Sharon, Linda, Heather, Betty, Gloria, Coralea and many more. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating.
