MANUEL, Hubert Elwin - 80, Boutilier's Point, passed away surrounded by his family November 9, 2002, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Ingramport, he was the son of the late Daniel and Lottie (Murphy) Manuel. Hubert was an avid musician and enjoyed playing the accordion and spoons with his children in the community. He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen (Langille); sons, Hubert "Sonny" (Eileen), Hubley; Bernard "Bunny" (Cathy), Sims Settlement; Aubrey (Connie), Clayton Park; George (Devetta), Sims Settlement; Jim (Corinne), Fox Point; Charlie "Chuck" (Sandra), Boutilier's Point; Danny (Joy), Hammonds Plains; Darrin (Donna Salzman), Tantallon; daughters, Rose (Paul) Oakes, Eastern Passage; Grace (Eugene) Cooke, Sims Settlement; Ev (Gary) Drysdale, Herring Cove; Carol Boutilier (Rick Young), Hubley; Heather (Wade Maclean), Sims Settlement; Mary (Sam) Garon, Hammonds Plains; Edna (Bob) Myles, Belle Isle; brother, Edward (Shirley), Ingramport; sister, Marjorie Snair, Windsor; 32 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Lawrence, Walter, Carl, Frederick; sisters, Minnie, Nellie, and Molly. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Monday, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Memorial Service 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Anglican Church, Boutilier's Point, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery.
