| MASEY, Charles William Thomas "Bill" - 76, Timberlea, passed away peacefully in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, on Wednesday February 7, 2007. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Alice (Conrad) (Masey) Pitcher and A. Gordon Pitcher. His birth father, Charles William Bradley Masey, predeceased Bill prior to his birth. He was an electrician, his first job being on Sable Island. He was electrical foreman for the Halifax School Board for 29 years. He was one of the lucky ones who loved his job and the people he worked with. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed feeding the birds and loved all the four-legged creatures he shared his life with over the years. Friends and family share many fond memories of good times at the camps in East River and Harrigan Cove. He faced many medical challenges in the past few years but always had a smile. Bill will be remembered for his deep love of the Lord, and love and devotion for his family. He touched many lives with his positive attitude and strong appreciation for the gift of life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Neatha E. (Legge); daughter, Heather (Bruce) Henneberry, East Pennant; son, Paul (Lynn), Timberlea; and his precious grandchildren who were everything to him, Trina, Brent, Kristina, and Courtney. Poppy, we love you; you will always be in our hearts. Cremation has taken place. Services have been entrusted to Ronald A. Walker Funeral Homes. No visitation by request. A celebration of Bill's life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, February 9, in St. Andrews Anglican Church, Timberlea, Rev. Judie Lafford and Rev. Ron Walker officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to Dr. Scovil, Dr. Panek, the dialysis nurses and staff, and the doctors and nurses on 8.4 for their dedicated and loving care of our father.
