MAW, Lois Irene -With great sadness, we, the family of Lois Irene Maw, share the news of her passing at Shoreham Village, Chester, on Friday, March 13, 2009. Formerly of Queensland and born in Rockwood, Ont. on May 8, 1927, she was the youngest daughter of Delilah and George Laverty. She is survived by her children, Jill and John (Laureen), of Queensland; grandchildren, Stephanie (Bryan Wilson), Dartmouth; Michael and his wife, Tracey, Pembroke, Ont.; Sydney, Queensland; great-grandchildren, Karen, Dartmouth; Gavin and Griffin, Pembroke, Ont.; sister, Lyla, Ontario; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Arnold "Red" Maw; sister, Georgina; brothers, Roy, Harvey, Jack and George; and great-grandson, David. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. At Lois's request, there will be no funeral; instead a gathering in her honour will be held at a later date.
