MEISNER, James Franklyn - 80, Upper Blandford, passed away June 30, 2002, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Lower Blandford, he was a son of the late Lindsey Herbert and Lucy Jerusha Meisner. He is survived by sons, David (Lorraine), Eric (Debbie); grandchildren, Deanna, Carl, Charles and Ronald (Colleen). He was preceded by his loving wife of over 50 years, Iona (Boutilier); sister, Josephine and brother, John. He was veteran of the Second World War having served overseas in the Canadian Army. He was a charter member, past president and life member of Royal Canadian Legion, Fairview Branch 144; past president of the Seasiders Senior Club Blandford; member of the board of directors of Blandford Community Centre and long-time member of Blandford Union Lodge IOOF MU. James spent most of his working life with J.R. Pineo Ltd. Visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Ronald A Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, in St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Blandford, Rev. Randy Townsend officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
