
| MORASH, Leslie Lawrence "Buckey" - 62, West Dover, passed away January 24, 2002, in the VG Site, QEII, surrounded by his family. He was a son of the late Sanford and Pearl Morash. Buckey was employed for 26 years as a seaman with the auxiliary vessels at the Halifax Dockyard, retiring in 1997. He was also an avid hunter and sport fisherman. He enjoyed playing with children and was known for his teasing. He took great pleasure in playing his guitar for friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, the former Shirlene Johnson; daughters, Nancy (Gordon) Ryan, Whites Lake; Carol (Danny) Atton, Glen Haven; Cindy (Bob) Poirier, East Chezzetcook; Betty Rose (Gary Shand), Halifax; Tanya (Bernie Ward), West Dover; brother, Clyde "Joe" (Martha), West Dover; sisters, Eileen (Wilson) Boutilier, Seabright; Mabel (Earl) Publicover, West Dover; Doreen Countaway, Edmonton, Alta.; Clara (Jerry) Morash, Lakeside; eight grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; a number of nieces and nephews; godchild, Melinda Lanteigne. He was predeceased by daughter, Karen; brothers, Lorne "Toggle", Melvin "Buddy". Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday, funeral service 2 p.m. Monday, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon, Rev. David Garrett officiating. Burial to follow in William Black Memorial Cemetery, Glen Margaret.
