MORASH, Oliver Scott -76, of West Dover. It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, and a good friend to many. He passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2009, surrounded by his loving family in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in West Dover, he was the son of the late Scott and Olive Morash and stepmother, Maude Morash. Oliver retired with 37 years service from the Canadian Coast Guard. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Betty Ann (Smeltzer); daughters, Wanda and Roberta (Brenton); brothers, Elliott (Marie), Eric (Bev); sisters, Josie (Kenny) Burgwin, Joan (John) Harrington, Susan (Armand) Lanteigne, Donna (Burton) Morash, Cheryl (Billy) Morash; grandson, Nicholas (Kerry); granddaughters, Melissa (Lyle) Morash, Brittany (Matt) Ryan, Robyn Ryan, great-grandchildren, Alivia, Drew and Emma. He will be missed by his pet, Honey Bunny. Predeceased by his son-in-law, Dave. Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Thursday, March 12. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 13, both from Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Rev. Irving Letto officiating. Family flowers only.
