
| MURPHY, Clarence Bernard - 78, East Dover, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2002, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in East Dover, he was a son of the late Joseph and Martha (Lynch) Murphy. Clarence was retired from the Maritime Warehouse Co., Dartmouth. A faithful lifelong member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, East Dover. He took great pleasure in the simple things of life in particular driving his car or a game of cards with friends or just picking berries when the season permitted. His love for children was his special gift and will always be remembered by his family and friends. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Daniel, Theadore, Leslie, Harris, John and three brothers in infancy; sisters, Mary, Ellen, Doris and one sister in infancy. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, East Dover, Father Leonard Fisher officiating. Burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, East Dover. Reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Cemetery Fund, East Dover, c/o Doug Brennan, East Dover.
