MacDONALD, George Murray - 95, Boutilier's Point, passed away October 20, 2002, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Laughlin C. and Mary (Vincent) MacDonald. Murray worked in his early years in the automotive industry at Good Speed and Davidson's, Truro, Atlantic Chev & Olds and also Citadel Motors, both of Halifax. Moving to Boutilier's Point in 1949 to start his own service station till 1954. Murray then began delivering the rural route mail for RR #1 Boutilier's Point retiring in 1965. Surviving are stepson, Edward "Ted" Higgins; stepdaughter, Doris Fader; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Gladys L. Kennedy; sisters, Katherine, Eleanor, Eva; brothers, Harold, Laughlin; great-grandson, Derryck Fader. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Tantallon, Hwy. No.333. Memorial service 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. James Anglican Church, Boutilier's Point. Rev. Rick Walsh officiating.
